Our annual Founder's Day celebration was a big success with over 300 people in attendance. A special thanks goes to Joannie & Tom Parr '67 whose incredible planning and work made the program a very successful one. The table decorations were beautiful thanks to Ann Higgs, wife of Bill Higgs '74 and great photography was provided through the professional photography of Patricia Robb wife, of John Robb '91. Our past president, Michael Pinckert '76 was presented with a beautiful plaque to show our appreciation for his dedication and hard work as our president for 2000. We also had the pleasure to present to Tom and Joannie Parr a gift certificate for dinner for two at the C&H Steak House for making our dinner so very enjoyable. George McDowell '37 was terrific and waxed eloquently on behalf of the oldest grad and Bryson Bort '00 did a very fine job responding on behalf of the youngest grad. Our MC for the program, Randy Hames, (aka Irv Harrigan of KILT fame) did a great job with his wonderful humor and introductions. The highlight of the evening was LTG Dan Christman '65, the 55th Supe who gave a terrific talk on where we've been and where we are going. This was one of General Christman's farewell talks before his departure from West Point and the Army this June. We will miss him as he has done a fantastic job working with a very limited budget while trying to rebuild a good portion of the Academy's infrastructure.
