The United States Military Academy at West Point was founded in 1802 and is one of the oldest 4 year institutions of higher learning in the United States, second only to Harvard University.
"The Mission of the United States Military Academy is to instruct and train the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate shall have the qualities and attributes essential to their progressive and continuing development throughout a lifetime career as an officer of the Regular Army."
